I was frequently astonished at how many parallels I saw and how much of what she said was so consistent with things I had seen and experienced with my cats.

For about five years now I have been taking care of rescue cats from the streets of Istanbul. Shannon’s animal communication skills have been integral in assessing their needs and understanding their perspectives. When one of them escaped, Shannon’s words evoked the closure I needed to accept it, move on, and understand that she was safe and happy. For my session, all I asked was “Do his feet hurt?”, a vague question relating to something only my bird’s vet and my mom know about. Shannon relayed that Artemis said “his feet do not work right, it is like one is not there, he cannot feel it.” Shannon’s description was so accurate it’s literally out of a medical text book.

See, my bird’s feet were burned – you wouldn’t know it by looking at him now because he looks perfectly fine – but one foot got third degree burns and the other got second degree burns. In the case of third degree burns, loss of sensation is typical. There is no way Shannon could have known about Artemis’ accident – it is not revealed on my Instagram and I do not talk about it. I was impressed that Shannon could discern that only one foot is this way even though nothing is visibly wrong with his foot and I asked about feet (plural). Artemis’ vet has always asserted his feet healed fine and that he suffered no long term damage, and therefore didn’t recommend anything for long-term aftercare. Additionally, Artemis’ behavior during my session with Shannon was also interesting. Typically, whenever I’m on a phone/video call is when Artemis is the noisiest – constant singing, crying etc – so I’d gone to the other end of the house preemptively. But during the session Artemis had distinct moments of silence that coincided with Shannon channeling Artemis to ask him questions. It was literally like they were having a conversation I couldn’t hear. Overall, the session with Shannon was excellent and revealed far more than I could have imagined. Shannon has continued to go above and beyond by giving referrals for a variety of animal therapists that hopefully can help improve Artemis’ feet.

I loved how you said he showed himself to you in a suit or tuxedo.  After a bath he is very happy, he struts around.  That made me think of a tux! My boy is definitely a supervisor.  Drinking the outside water is part of his “dogness”.  I loved that.

He also uses his front arms/paws more to move around, cuz his rear end is getting weaker.  He has a lot of health problems so I liked that he said not to worry.  It’s hard not to worry. I love that he wants me to be more “me.” Follow my intuition more. I also don’t pay that much attention to him during the day (after a morning walk) even though I work from home.  And I do play with him more on the couch when we are watching tv at night.  I’m working to change that. I also got him a new bed which he loves!  He does sleep on the bed with us but his new bed is very cushiony like our bed so he seems to be happy and is sleeping more through the night. I loved that you tuned into my energy and felt the spring that will turn into a fruitful harvest.  I’m learning so many new things now, it’s a bit overwhelming.  I look forward to some fruit for my labors. Zelda is the 9th cat I have been owned by. She has seemed to me to be a skitty kitty especially lately since we moved a few months ago. But after our session with Shannon she laid on the floor breathing comfortably by me. Then she jumped up on my lap and sat and purred for a long time.

Then she jumped up on my lap and sat and purred for a long time. Generally when she does that it is morning and I have her favorite fuzzy robe on and she likes to nuzzle in it. But this was 6pm and not a common thing for her to do.  But in addition, her sibling Zac and older sis Zoe have seemed to be more comfortable too. I know that Shannon’s help will allow her to enjoy our home. Thanks so very much for helping with your gift, Shannon.
